Morteza Mottaghi is a sculptor, painter and makeup artist based in Tehran, Iran. He acquainted with sculpting and painting since his very young age within the Institute of intellectual development of children and young adults, and they became his main passions since.
Graduated from Visual Arts SEDA VA SIMA School in 1998 He started to work as a makeup artist, while following his studies within the Enghelab E Eslami College where he teached and got his Associate Degree of Arts Diploma in 2003.
He extensively investigated on instrumentation, materials and techniques and gained experiences throughout all these years. While pursuing his career as a makeup artist and collaborating on many movies, tv shows and plays, he accepted his very first commissioned sculpture in 2004 and Hyperreal sculpture in 2006.
Hyperrealism, a domain in which the artist became specialist and which constitutes a main unit of his present works.
